WOW! What an incredible night at Trick or Treat in the Wetlands! 🎃🖤🩵
We had a RECORD-BREAKING turnout with over 1,000 students and guests and handed out more than 15,000 pieces of candy! 🍬
A HUGE thank you to all of our CES families and community members who helped make this event such a success! Whether you donated candy, helped spread the word, or came out to enjoy the evening with us, we couldn't have done it without you!
We also want to give a special thank you to our amazing community partners for their support, including Coning Family Farm, who generously donated produce for our beautiful fall photo display! We are so grateful for the businesses and community members who continue to support our school and students.
Seeing our students and families having so much fun together is what makes events like this so special. We are so thankful to be part of such an amazing community!

📍 Location: The event will take place BEHIND Carpenters Elementary School, near the playground. Please note that the front doors of the school will NOT be open.
🚗 Parking: Overflow parking is available at Carpenters Middle School, directly across the street.
🍔🍧 Food Trucks: Come hungry! Snobiz and Patty Shack will be joining us with some delicious treats and food available for purchase!
👨👩👧👦 Reminder: All students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

📚🐾 CES 27 by ’27 Reading Challenge! 🐾📚
We are excited to kick off our 27 by ’27 Schoolwide Reading Challenge! We are challenging ALL students in grades K–5 to read 27 books by May 2027!
Our goal is to foster a love of reading while strengthening vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills!
📖 How It Works:
Students can read independently or have someone read to them.
Picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, audiobooks, and more all count!
Students will track their progress on reading trackers kept in our school Library.
After finishing a book, students will have a quick conversation with a reading partner about what they read.
Each month will feature a fun reading theme to encourage students to explore different books and keep the excitement going!

We're kicking off our challenge with a cozy fall reading adventure! This month, we encourage students to read a book that brings adventure, mystery, or makes them feel cozy! Whether it's an exciting adventure, a mysterious story, or a comforting fall favorite, there's a perfect book for every reader!
