📢 Morning Traffic Pattern Updates & Tips

CES Families — thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we work through our new morning traffic pattern! Based on what we learned this morning, here are a few reminders that will help keep arrival moving safely and efficiently:

🚗 Keep the line moving forward. To the extent possible, please continue pulling forward and avoid leaving large gaps between vehicles. Keeping the line moving allows us to get more cars onto campus and off the roadway.

🚌 Keep moving around special transportation buses. When special transportation buses are stopped to unload students, the car line may continue moving around them. Please proceed slowly and carefully while doing so.

🚶 Please use the crosswalk. If you park in the lower lot and walk your student to the building, please utilize the designated crosswalk. A staff member will be stationed there to assist pedestrians with crossing during natural pauses in the car line.

🏫 Please wait until you reach the awning to drop off. For student safety, please do not allow students to exit your vehicle until you have reached the designated drop-off area under the front awning.

🚫 Gate 3 is closed to all car traffic. Please remember that Gate 3 is reserved for buses and is not an entrance or exit for car traffic.

⏰ If possible, please arrive earlier. Our heaviest traffic continues to occur around 7:30–7:35 a.m. When a large number of vehicles arrive at the same time, we simply cannot move that volume of traffic through campus quickly enough. Arriving even a little earlier, when possible, will make a significant difference in reducing congestion.

Thank you again for your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we continue to make adjustments. Each morning gives us an opportunity to identify ways to make the new pattern work more smoothly, and we appreciate everyone working together to keep arrival safe and efficient! 🩵🖤
